Heroes Breakfast is an annual fundraising event put on by the American Red Cross of Greater Chicago. It is breakfast made possible by corporate sponsors which honors everyday people as heroes. It begins with a nomination process: Nominations are asked via postcard, html emails and advertisements in newspapers and online. Then an invitation is mailed out to donors and sponsors. The day of event materials include a program book, lapel pin (giveaway), table tents, a walk of fame, sponsorship banners, directional signage, and more.
